3G data coverage and speeds have always been a problem for users, video streaming is too slow, whatsapp is not loading or perhaps Facebook is not updating our photos quickly enough. Our colleagues in India came up with a campaign for Reliance 3G to convince mobile users to switch to their service.
The key media solution was to use the comparison format
to repurpose regular content and demonstrate the stark contrast in
experience between Reliance 3G vis-à-vis any other 3G network.
For example, regular
TV content was buffered deliberately to enable comparison with competition. The
same content was then shown as playing smoothly by virtue of Reliance 3G. This
idea was extended across multiple channels, including TV, online, cinema.
